Profile for hikerhayes

Just recently purchased a Garmin Etrex Vista handheld GPS for hiking and climbing. While researching GPS', I came across www.geocaching.com and have now gotten into geocaching with my son Eric. Eric's girl friend Nikki has been out to help us find three and she is a real natural at it!! My daughter Valerie and her boyfriend Michael have gone out to help me find one also. To get started, go out to geocaching.com and create you an account (basic accounts are free). Once logged in, you can search for geocaches in your area by zip code. Select a cache, download the coordinates to your GPS, and the hunt is on!! Maybe on our next trip to Colorado, Eric and I can download some waypoints and find a few Colorado caches between mountain climbs...
