Mount Harvard Climb
South Slopes II from North Cottonwood Trailhead
Elevation - 14,420ft
Mountain Range - Sawatch
Colorado Ranking - 3
July 25, 2009. Eric and I were heading to Colorado this time with Eric's good friend Agust. Agust had been training hard and was really looking forward to the trip. We have had Harvard on the list for a couple of years now with weather keeping us from its summit, but not this year. Harvard was conquered!! It has now become my favorite 14er. The trail in is long, but very beautiful. A stream accompanies you along most of the route into the Horn Fork Basin. Once close to the summit you are met with The Crux, some class 3 bouldering to get to the top! Highly recommend this 14er!!!
